We had an absolute blast with Sarah Patterson from Little Pink Kitchen this week as she shared her tips and tricks for success with email marketing and newsletters. And we wanted to share it with you all!
- Why should you use newsletters?
To get more customers and to avoid social media algorithms. - Think about your demographic
Age? Gender? How often will they be buying your product? - Think about your customers as a community.
It helps to build a personal relationship with clients. - Use discount codes to get more people to subscribe to your emails.
Especially with the new GDPR, it’s a good way to build up your subscribers back up. - Be consistent with your content.
Time you sent out the newsletter, tone, style, language. - Styling Newsletters
Having a style/template makes for quicker email building. - Tone
To find the right tone, research other businesses with a similar customer base. - If you have a cute pet, use it to your advantage!
This help your emails stand out from others, these days people want to know about the person behind the brand just as much as the product itself. - Photography
Think about whether or not investing in some decent photography will be valuable to your business. One photo-shoot could leave you with a catalogue of usable footage. - Get Responses
Try and get a response from people by asking questions, and be sure to reply – so that it’s not seen as just another marketing post.
