Go Girl Zine Making Workshop : Collaborative, Creative, D.I.Y.
We were excited to come into our Malone Road HQ to find a lovely zine waiting for us – courtesy of Go Girl who hosted the zine-making workshop at Blick on the 25th March!
“We had the best time crafting and catching up. We created a ‘Colours’ Zine inspired by the sunshine and the colours of spring, we were all feeling very sunshiny! We played with emotions associated with colours.”
– Cheylene (Go Girl)
Go Girl is a collaborative community of young creatives based in Belfast and Derry who believe in feminism, opportunity and inclusion. They believe in nurturing a network where women are understood, respected and supported in their individual endeavours. This network opens a dialogue between young women in our city who wish to collaborate, share and create in an environment which allows for freedom of expression without reprimand. They are creating a space of increasingly diverse creative activity in Belfast and beyond and are beginning to showcase their talents and ambitions through art, music, theatre and design.
To find out the story behind the collective, read their interview with Culture Hub magazine.
Thanks to everyone that joined Go Girl and to the awesome collective!
