Dig Deep
Dig Deep was a creative enterprise support program that brought young women (18 – 30) from different backgrounds NI & BAME together in a supportive and nurturing environment over a 9 month period to help them build successful and sustainable creative industry businesses.
Taking a holistic view of starting a business, combining self-care and creativity alongside business skills and knowledge. It was a tailored program to help grow a variety of creative businesses to meet their values, goals, and ambitions through a series of online workshops, resources, peer, and one-on-one mentoring. Through the weekly zoom calls we got to know our group of inspirational creative entrepreneurs and support their business journey. Some of the businesses included Service Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Artists, Collectors of oddities, Printers and Fashion to name a few!
We covered topics such as business planning, finance planning & management, branding, social media, setting up a website, sales, confidence, failure, self care, habits, work-life balance and imposters syndrome. This learning was supported by multiple industry expert workshops where the participants gained real world insight into how each aspect of their business could be developed.
Dig Deep offered a space for a group of like-minded creative women to connect and receive support, community, motivation and peer learning.
Although the course is now finished, we wanted to make our resources available to our wider Womenfolk Community so that everyone can access and have the opportunity to develop themselves further and grow their creative business.
